How It Works

Speed dating with Blue Moon offers structured, organized and safe events, where individuals can meet and interact with multiple potential romantic partners or friends in a short period of time.

Events last 1 – 2 hours and offer attendees four to ten “mini-dates,” each lasting 5 minutes. After each date, you’ll have time to note and reflect on each interaction.

At the end of the event, participants fill out a confidential form identifying any matches they’d like to connect with in the future.

Within 1 – 3 days you will be contacted by your Blue Moon Dating Agent to provide you with your matches and their contact information.

What is speed dating?

Speed dating are short organized events that offer each attendee to go on a 5-15, five minute “mini-dates” in a set period of time.

What happens at an event?

Once you arrive you will check in with your Blue Moon Dating Agent at the venue. You will be given a small sign with your first name and a short pre-printed form with the names of the people you will be meeting. Once the agent starts the event they will direct you how to proceed through your dates. After each mini-date each person will have time to take quick notes for you to keep to remind yourself of who you are interested in. At the end of all of the dates you will fill out a checklist stating who you want to be contacted by. Some of the events offer a chance to mingle at the venue afterwards in case you make a connection right away! Within 3 days you will be notified by email of the people that also wanted to be contacted by you. Both people have to agree before our agents email any contact information.

Do you take walk-in events?

No, all of our attendees must pre-register for events.

Do you offer refunds if I don't show or don't make a connection?

No refunds are offered for not showing up for a prepaid event or ticket, but you may send another person in your place. If this is your situation please email us at hello@bluemoondatingagency.com as soon as possible. We understand that you may not meet your person at the first event and encourage you to join us at another event soon! Refunds are not available in these cases. If an event is canceled due to weather or other unforeseeable circumstances we will automatically issue a refund within one week of the canceled event.

Can I hire Blue Moon Dating Agency to do a custom event?

Yes! Contact us if you’d like to have an event in your business, for clients or at other venues.

What should I wear to a speed dating event?

We encourage you to treat this like any other first date! Style is personal so flaunt yours! We suggest wearing clothes that are appropriate for a first date or business casual interview. Read the details on the event listings for themed events, as this may help you decide what to wear.

Can I attend more than one speed dating event?

Yes! We encourage you to join in as many events as you like!

How do I buy tickets?

View our events section for each event details, just click on the button for the event you want to attend and follow on screen instructions to purchase your ticket.

Do you offer walking escorts to my ride after the event?

Yes! If you’d like a walking escort after an event out to your parked car or taxi we are happy to always offer this. Just see your event agent at the end of the event and let them know.
